Announcement of Results of Preliminary Screening for the 2008 Dongguan Cup

After a three-month call-for-entry, Dongguan Cup International Industrial Design Awards 2008 are honored to receive 2459 entries from 44 countries, and 250 entries are qualified to enter the preliminary round competition. In the free topic group, there are 60 electronic information products, 60 household products, 50 toy products. In the given topic group, there are 30 anti-disasters and disasters relief products, 25 computer-related products, and 25 future office products. The preliminary screening has been judged by eight jury members from home and abroad. All the entries will be shown in Dongguan Sci-tech Museum from Oct. 16th – 19th. Ownerships of entry projects intellectual property rights.
Entrants retain ownership of projects entered in the competition and all rights under Law of People’s Republic of China relating to intellectual and artistic copyright. The organizers and their representatives may refer to such projects in the media and promotion brochures and display them at any public exhibitions of their choice, without restriction on duration. The organizers may take pictures of the prize-winners and their projects, and make copies of the latter with due mention being made of the winners’ name. The organizers strongly recommend all entrants apply for intellectual property rights of their works in a timely manner and call the attention of all visitors to the exhibition to respect and protect the intellectual property rights of exhibitors.
